Newburgh Parks & Gardens
Hudson Highlands State Park is located roughly one mile east of Newburgh, NY. This park features 25 miles of hiking trails, and bow hunting for deer is permitted in season.
Taconic Outdoor Education Center is located about 10 miles southeast of Newburgh, NY. There are nine heated log cabins for visitor use, as well as a dining hall and meeting place for group activities and retreats. Reservations are required for use of this facility.
Clarence Fahnestock State Park is about 25 miles southeast of Newburgh, NY. Hiking, biking and camping are all popular here, and a group wilderness camp area allows visitors to congregate and enjoy the New York wilds together.
Fahnestock Winter Park is located in the Vharles Fahnestock State Park, about 10 miles southeast of Newburgh, NY. There are 15 km of groomed cross country ski trails, a warming lodge, restrooms, ski rentals and food and beverage facilities all on site. Weather permitting, this park is open from 9am-4:30pm during the winter months.
